B.Com (NWU) LLB (NWU) Advanced Certificate Insolvency Litigation and Administration Practice (UP)
Andries Stander obtained his BCom and LLB degrees from the North West University and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2009.
It did not take long after commencing his articles of clerkship for Andries to realize that he has a keen interest in litigation. During this period and his years prior to joining Barnard Incorporated Andries served major clients in the banking sector and gained valuable experience from various mentors in the different applications of consumer and credit legislation. He joined Barnard Incorporated after he successfully applied for an associate position with the firm in 2011.
His application followed after he incidentally met with, Douw Breed, one of his old university class friends. Andries was appointed as a director in 2013. At Barnard Incorporated, Andries quickly gained vast experience in family law, general commercial litigation, and insolvency law. Today Andries’ focus is primarily aimed at commercial litigation and insolvency law. He is a firm believer of “knowledge is power” which he implements to seek solutions for challenging legal disputes.
Whilst Andries cherishes spending time with his family, he considers his clients and his role as a director within the firm equally important.
