A claim for damages can be institutd against another person or entity if the claimant has suffered injury caused by the negligence of that other person or entity. In order to succeed with a claim due to an injury, a claimant must be able to prove that the other party acted negligently and that he or she suffered damages as a result thereof. These damages can include medical expenses, loss of income and general damages. A claim for general damages is the compensation claimed due to pain and suffering, emotional shock and loss of amenities. Our firm readily attends to claims based on personal injuries where we assist Plaintiffs (the claimants) with their claims as well as Defendants, in defending claims by Plaintiffs.
